We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to analyze, design, program, debug, and modify database applications, including stored procedures and queries, serving our proprietary web-based software suite. The candidate is responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. Alongside other application developers and actively applying collaborative development tools, the candidate optimizes in-application SQL statements as necessary and establishes best practices. The candidate is responsible for integrating data from multiple source systems, displaying data appropriately, identifying areas of process improvement, and implementing solutions through data integration and automation.
The candidate works with complex data models and database structures. Works with a development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Assists with database systems administration.
Duties and responsibilities
· Proficient in understanding Data Models and relationships to be able to write complex queries
· Proven experience developing and performance tuning enterprise database applications with high transactional volume
· Design, develop, and maintain database tables, stored procedures, and supporting objects
· Work with application team to provide operational support, resolve recurring problems
· Build and support operational reports for company and clients
· Document database topology, architecture, processes and procedures
· Develop SQL queries and support ad hoc requests for data
· Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and root cause issues in the database platform and propose solutions
· Use problem-solving skills to assist in resolution of business problems
· Responsible for coordination, requirements derivation and implementation of projects
· Experience with code deployment in development, testing and production environments
· Work closely with product development teams, product management, design office, services, and helps in upgrade testing, analyzing, and resolving upgrade issues
Qualifications
· 5+ years’ experience in writing queries, stored procedures, designing database and tables in Microsoft SQL Server 2014/2019.
· Experience working with Team Foundation Server for version control
· Experience with Oracle SQL Developer and PL/SQL will be a plus
· A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design
· Ability to effectively communicate within a team environment
· Self-motivated and directed with high attention to detail
· Ability to prioritize and efficiently execute tasks
· Strong analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
· Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail
· Healthcare experience preferred
