Job Description:

 

Front End developer role will have extra focus beyond working on Front End development of our key brand/unbranded Health Care Professional and Patient sites as the resource will also be responsible for working on our US Experience Framework.  This framework is the core of all functionalities that exist and is heavily relied on by agencies to see functionality, UX, and design elements as they are added or are evolved.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

•             * Able to think in both technical and business terms, can translate between the two, and understand the nuances of communication

•             Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code 

•             Extending and Enhancing reusable components and capabilities for future use (examples. Bootstrap, AEM UX, and REACT) 

•             Optimizing front end for maximum page performance/display across multiple devices and browsers 

•             Reviewing wireframes and designs for framework alignment and development feasibility

•             Assessing development timelines based on wireframes

•             Ensuring development tasks are completed within the timeline agreed and output produces minimal defects when fully tested 

•             Active participant in project team meetings which include Tech/Non-Tech attendees   

•             Provide consultation to technical and non-technical stakeholders on US Experience Framework capabilities and constraints.

•             Daily system management (ex. Jira) as it relates to deliverables, requirements, feedback and workflow

•             Participate in dev scoping, creative review, and UX discussions.

•             Proactive approach in bringing updated techniques to our platforms

•             Train and lead code review with other developers 

•             Bug detection and future enhancement identification for constantly improving the user experience

 

Qualifications: 

•             Strong background and hands-on experience using Adobe Experience Manager, plus would be having experience using other Adobe Cloud platforms.

•             Must have 4 or more years of experience over the past 5 years in technical areas listed below:

o             Strong proficiency in HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3, CSS pre-processors (e.g. LESS or SASS) including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model (extensive experience as JavaScript Developer)

o             Deep expertise in developing user interface components, responsive websites and implementing them using designs and style guides.

o             Thorough knowledge of responsive web design and cross-device best practices

o             Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git

o             Experience debugging CSS and Javascript using industry standard tools

o             Knowledge of how to interact with restful APIs and JSON format and how front-end and back-end communicate

o             Understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

o             Create and integrate content-driven applications on top of AEMs core platform

o             Design and improve internal development methodologies around Adobe AEM solution

o             Nice to have (Mobile App development using Adobe PhoneGap) 

o             Must have experience working with agile software development lifecycle with rapid iteration cycles (2 weeks) and scrum framework

o             Must have experience with and commitment to key development practices & values inherent to effective agile development such as 

             Rapid prototyping

             Refactoring

             Continuous integration

             Automated Unit tests

             Small releases

             Simple design

 

•             Must have experience of working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams with a focus on delivery

•             Must have excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audience

•             Must be a self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment
