3+ years development in Java with the flexibility to write moderate code in Python.
Strong coding skills, we are mostly Java.
Ability to dive into an existing code base and gain a decent understanding of the working systems.
Prior experience in technology integration and analysis. Comfortable working on large cross team initiatives.
Experience deploying and using monitoring and observability tooling. APM's (we use Dynatrace) Graphite/Grafana, ELK or Splunk.
An understanding of system architecture and containerization.
Good communication skills. Ability to write technical and non-technical documentation to generate runbooks or spec out a proposed implementation.
Willingness and ability to automate almost everything. Update immutable infrastructure via Ansible, modify application code via a continuous delivery pipeline.
Nice to have
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance experience
Hands-on experience migrating to or from ELK/Splunk or hands-on work with Kubernetes and APMs (Dynatrace, New Relic, etc.)
