• Develop FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) interfaces to data stored in dbGaP (Database for Genotype and Phenotype) system.
• Design and implement a software system written primarily in Python3.
• Depending on the proposed architecture Java development may be needed.
• Package software into Docker containers.
• Provide guidance to team members on the architecture of the code and its associated interfaces.
• Support cloud migration strategy by developing cloud ready code and deployment processes within AWS or GCP service offerings.
• Work in collaboration with other application developers and operational personnel.
• Use and support CI/CD pipelines in either Gitlab or Teamcity

Qualifications:

• 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably with Python.
• 7 years of software development experience with ability to design software systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes
• Experience with AWS and/or GCP
• Effectively work within an Agile project management methodology
• Effective communication and presentation skills; ability to adjust to technical and non-technical audience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to find creative solutions to complex problems
• Preferred/Bonus Experience
  • 7 years of Python and Java experience.
  • CI/CD implementation experience with Gitlab
  • Experience with FHIR
  • Experience with genetic datasets
  •  
    • Some sort of UI experience
