Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

o In-depth knowledge of Oracle 10G / 11G

o In-depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL from DBA and Programmers perspective including performance tuning.

o Good working knowledge of job scheduling and monitoring tools

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

o Manufacturing Domain Exposure

o Experience of supporting multiple teams within a business

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

·        Designing database packages and procedures.

·        Provision of support and assistance to development team in the design, development,

·        Reviewing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code.

·        Creation and maintenance of SQL queries and routines

·        Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge

·        Required to deal with complex data models and object relational database mapping,

·        Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases.

·        Ensures that data warehouse design is scalable and maintainable

·        Ensures that all deliverables are thoroughly documented

·        Envisage and resolve any potential issues pertaining to data base based on modification done to application code.
