POSITION PURPOSE:
The Senior OutSystems Developer is responsible for leading a team of developers involved in the analysis, design, development and implementation of the digital enterprise solutions using both OutSystems platform and .NET technologies. This position works closely with internal and external business partners to develop, maintain, and support applications on digital platforms while staying well-informed of industry and technical trends to influence the organization’s digital direction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Works with other IT department managers to develop integrated solutions that improve operating efficiencies, achieve strategic goals, simplify IT supportability and enhance the member experience.
•Oversees technical deliverables for digital innovation projects through the software development lifecycle, including validating the completeness of estimates, quality and accuracy of technical designs, build, and implementation.
•Ensures technical and business requirements for digital applications are in compliance with OutSystems and the enterprise architecture.
•Analyze and gather user requirements, review system capabilities, and make recommendations on system, procedure and configuration changes.
•Deliver the design, architecture, testing and completion of all projects within specified time and budget guidelines.
•Introduce ideas and innovation through thought leadership that leverage new technology, best in class processes, and industry trends.
•Mentor junior developers to understand business products and processes and to ensure adherence to OutSystems and the enterprise best practices, corporate architecture, design, and coding standards.
•Supports the company’s in-house developed applications.  Restores functionality to applications that have failed and documents resolutions.
•Flexible to perform other duties and projects as assigned.  

QUALIFICATIONS:
•Education:  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
•Experience:  Minimum of seven years of related progressive experience in software application development and software architecture in addition to educational requirements listed above. Four years’ experience in OutSystems platform with the ability to write quality code based on OutSystems best practices.
•Specific Job Knowledge and Skills Required: Strong leadership skills, evidenced by an ability to lead, motivate, and influence others toward consistently positive results and shared success. Experience across all phases of the software development lifecycle and Agile software development practices. Strong architectural skills, desire and ability to be hands-on and contribute to architecture, design and development, as needed. Demonstrated ability to stay current with related technologies. Strong analysis and problem-solving skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Fluency in English (written and spoken).
•Technology Skills Required: Mastery of OutSystems platform technology and best practices.  Advanced skills in web services, RESTful services, Azure Services, Microsoft .Net Framework, Microsoft .Net Core, C#, HTML, CSS, jQuery and Microsoft SQL Server.  Experience with Flowgear a plus. Understanding of UX principles.
