Software Engineer who will be tasked with porting functionality that exists in a legacy Internet Explorer-based application over to a cross platform ASP.NET web application. This will involve migrating development done in a mix of Classic ASP, ASP.NET, C#, and Javascript to ASP.NET, C#, and Javascript. Some database work in SQL Server may also be required.
This Engineer will work on enhancing security within an application, using scan results from a security tool (CheckMarx, Rapid7) that highlights vulnerabilities in the code, which the engineer would be expected to implement code to resolve. Some examples of the kinds of vulnerabilities that the engineer would be expected to be able to resolve are SQL Injection, Second Order SQL Injection, and various forms of cross site scripting. The engineer would be working on a .NET web application and should be familiar with ASP.NET, C#, Javascript, and SQL Server.
Other projects could potentially come in to play, but other projects would still require someone with a general ASP.NET Web Application+SQL skillset.
Nice to Have - Monitoring Experience
Engineer would be tasked with building various checks into the system to ensure system health across a distributed application, version compatibility, and proper configuration, and monitor/log certain kinds of traffic. The information derived from these health checks would be stored in a SQL Server database and reported out to an external system via API calls. This work would primarily be done in C# and T-SQL on SQL Server. AWS huge bonus.
Nice to have - Automation Experience
Engineer would be tasked with building functionality to notify applications of availability of a new release and start the orchestration for updates to be scheduled and applied. This primarily would involve both building API's, interacting with both the caller and receiver of the calls, and retrieving data from third party API's (ex: JIRA, JFrog, ServiceNow). This would be done in C#, ASP.NET, and T-SQL (on SQL Server). AWS huge bonus.
