Responsibilities:

Design and implement features that improve the way students learn and teachers teach.

Ensure scalability, security, and cost optimization

Partner with the product management team to ensure we're  delivering the most important features first.

Mentor and/or lead a small team of 4-6 individuals and  help drive sound engineering design, process and quality practices, and perform acceptance engineering

Automate tests and deployments in a maintainable, extensible way

Evaluate new technologies and software products to determine the feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities into the platform.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, with strong fundamentals and problem solving skills.
• 6+ years experience in software development roles
• 4+ years minimum experience working in an agile environment desired
• Experience with a variety of RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Experience in backend development  using Java, Spring
• Boot Reactive, REST, GraphQL
• Experience with unit testing and integration testing frameworks
• Experience with configuration management systems such as Git
• Expert knowledge and capabilities in Object Oriented Analysis & Design
• Experience with web technologies such as TypeScript, Angular, Bootstrap
• Ability to work with onsite and remote teams
• Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
