Role Description              UNIX/LINUX Operational work Monitoring of Events and Take Actions OS lifecycle management coordination (e.g. patching, upgrades)Experience on updating CMDB and incident management Performance monitoring SLA management & reporting Root Cause Analysis Security, Audit and Performance Management Log management & Analysis OS Patching Co-ordination Systems Security Maintenance Provisioning of VMs where end-facing blueprints dont exist Server Network Configuration as per established standards Utilization and right-Sizing recommendations Migration of physical servers to VMs Migration of servers from 1 DC to another

Essential Skills  

• Expected to have worked on multiple flavor’s such as RHEL 5.x 6.x, 7.x, CentOS, SUSE, Oracle Linux and others
• Expected to have worked on Solaris 10, 11
• Good to have some experience on HP-UX, Debian, Ubuntu, FreeBSD, Tru64 unix
• Identifying and troubleshooting hardware and OS issues
• User account management * Performance analysis and tuning
• Server Builds/Decommission
• Hands-on experience with Bash Scripting and writing automation scripts for operational tasks
• Hands-on experience with scripting tools, Ansible and other automation tools
