Job Description

As a frontend engineer with at least 5 years of relevant experience, you'll collaborate with a larger team of engineers to drive front-end development standards and work to continually to enhance customer facing features. You will work in agile, multidisciplinary teams to solve diverse technical challenges releasing quality code to highly visible customer facing products. This is an opportunity and challenge to make an impact in the real world using exciting and new technologies.

Must Have Skills:
•    Strong background building robust, efficient, scalable enterprise-grade applications.
•    You must know the in and out of JavaScript to design optimized and modular components which need to be used across our platform. Comfort in ES6 is desired.
•    Strong understanding of REST APIs and knowledge of how to interface with them. Strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
•    Strong experience in Mobile layouts and rendering technologies (e.g., responsiveness, progressive enhancement, cross browser/device support) and understand well when it is appropriate to make graceful fallbacks.
•    Able to dive into the source code of various front-end libraries to debug, patch, and extend if necessary.
•    You must have a natural ability to understand and when to use various front-end software design patterns. (e.g., a-synchronicity, data bindings, modularity, object mapping, promises)
•    You must have strong understanding of compliant error free semantic HTML / HTML5, CSS / CSS3. 
•    Strong knowledge of SEO is a plus.
•    Good understanding on how to optimize the delivery of various web assets (e.g., images, fonts, video) to a browser or device (e.g., lazy loading assets, using CDNs, caching, compression, etc.).
•    Experience with high traffic consumer facing products.
•    Attitude to thrive in a fun, fast-paced start-up like environment.

Nice to Haves:
•    Experience in improving Website performance is a plus. Eg. Waterfall Analysis - using Page Speed Insights, Google Search Console, GTmetrix, Web.dev to analyze solutions.
•    Experience in at least one backend technology: NodeJs, PHP, Java, Python, Ruby.
•    ADA compliance experience
