Details:

This person can work remote, but the resource has to be semi-local to South Portland, ME.  Typically people who live north of Boston, MA can make this commute after Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.  But for now it is remote.  Candidates who are local with insurance experience will fit well here.

We are seeking an experienced software system developer to join a cross-functional team supporting our premier insurance administration and proposal systems. Microsoft-based technology stack. Experience in an agile/scrum team environment is preferred.

 

SUMMARY OF REQUIRED SKILLS:

Minimum 3+ years previous Microsoft front and back end experience required. Experience with the following technologies is desired: Microsoft Internet Info Server, .Net, MS Web Forms, C#, JavaScript, SQL Server. Familiarity with output creation in HTML, XML and CSV. Experience desired in Microsoft Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), N-tier Architecture.

Strong user interface design skills

Agile/Scrum experience

Quality focus, including competency with unit testing, TDD, Continuous Integration and build automation

Demonstrated ability to develop specifications from business requirements and collaboration with a development team and product owner

Solid analysis skills - Proactive thinking, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated history of delivering results within assigned timeframe

Ability to estimate work effort, resources and project time lines

Solid communication and team skills. Ability to work professionally and effectively with co-workers, clients, and vendors.
