Job Description:
- Multiple roles forthcoming with multiple managers. They are working on a project that will require 14 developers. This will be part of this group
- Location = Reston VA - candidates must be in one of the states provided at the time of hire
- Senior Level Full Stack Java Developer - 6+ years of core java/j2ee development.
- Technologies: Tomcat, Java/J2ee = most important, then batch processing, control m, Linux, Unix, SDLC, HTML, CSS, HTML
- Angular 5+ = yes, required
- Migrating to Tomcat in 2021. The resource will be interacting with PM-s, BA, Scrum Masters, Architects .. so comm skills are very important
- Building multiple scrum teams that will be similar to this, with some slight differences. 14 developers in total at different times throughout the project
- The goal is that the candidate will facilitate the planning, troubleshooting, working with run teams, to support the Tomcat migration effort that will be going on for the rest of 2021
- Complete understanding of Agile / Scrum framework = required
- Any cloud is preferable .. no cloud at the moment, but the cloud is forthcoming, so cloud experience would help prolong the selected hires contract duration
- Healthcare insurance background = not required, but helpful
- Certs = Any professional certs is a big plus
- Cloud background is a nice to have, just preferred but a big plus
Immediate Need for Senior Level Full Stack Java / J2EE Developers in Reston VA (100% remote due to COVID but will be onsite mid-2021). The selected individuals will be working on full-lifecycle scrum-team development tasks to assist our client with Tomcat migration, web Services, and enhancements projects. Duties include, but not limited to, the following:
- Develop code, scripts, and configuration/deployment instructions to implement designs and follow the instructions of Lead team members.
- Use best practices and patterns to ensure the delivery of an enterprise-grade solution that is scalable, extensible, and configurable.
- Work with other technical teams in the organization such as Scrum teams, Solutions Architecture and Integration teams
- May use any of the following skills sets including IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, LDAP, Unix, Active Directory, Java, EJB, JSP, JDBC, JMS, Kerberos, PKI, XML, WSDL, Web Services, Ant, Spring Framework.
- Work with the project managers to define realistic timelines for solution delivery.
- Deliver solutions promptly and according to the agreed-upon schedule.
- Work and collaborate with other teams in the enterprise, or with customers (internal and external) on resolving access issues related to DX Member Services applications.
- Work with the project managers to define realistic timelines for production issue resolutions.
- Troubleshoot issues across multiple applications and systems.
- Persist in fixing issues and supporting deployments during the maintenance windows.

Required Skills:
- 6+ years of professional Full Stack Software Development experience
- 6+ years of Java experience in Java/JEE enterprise applications using JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, RESTful, AJAX, JSON, SQL, JUnit, and Maven Experience with Frameworks including Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Control M, Spring Integration, Spring Security, Hibernate.
- Must have Apache Tomcat deployment development experience
- Must have: Angular v5+ framework experience
- Strong experience with Frontend technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX
- Must have Experienced in working with UNIX environment
- Shell scripting would be a huge plus
- Experience with open source Frameworks including Spring MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MyBatis
- Any cloud (AWS, Azure) knowledge would be a BIG PLUS
- Coming from a healthcare insurance organization would be a BIG PLUS
- Experience with both RESTful and SOAP web services
- Java 8 or higher/Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Must have extensive experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Must have Java development experience with the ability to develop unit/integration test cases using Junit /TestNG.
- Must have the ability to understand and work with code developed by other developers.
- Must have experience with web services and understanding of RESTful / SOA Services.
- Good to have experience working with API Management Tools.
- Good to have experience working with GIT/BitBucket.
