Deliverables:

The senior-level contractor needs to have the following skills and experience:

• Strong DB2 z/OS skills

• Strong experience supporting business critical production databases

• Experience performing failovers

• Ability to troubleshoot under pressure

• Ability to tune complex SQL statements

• Backup/Recovery

• Alerts, monitoring and automation

• Database maintenance scripts such as reorgs

• Implement databases, roles, tables, views

• Experience following strict change management process

Stipulations:

•            Candidate MUST have a reliable and high speed internet connection, which supports using data and being on a video conference at the same time.

•            Candidate will work East Coast hours for the most part, with the flexibility of some WC hour coverage (5-8pm EST)

•            Candidates can only live and work remotely out of these approved states: NY, PA, CA, WA, VA, OH, SC, and FL

•            QVC will reimburse the T&E costs for the weeks onsite, up to $7,000 (If the team needs them to stay a week or two longer, we will adjust this cap accordingly)

•            T&E costs will not be reimbursed until 30 days after the onsite time. Essentially this is to safeguard against a candidate being brought onsite, only to leave after some or all of that time. If they do that, we will NOT cover the T&E costs, we will only pay the bill rate for the hours worked while onsite. The team needs some assurance on retention for this to work, which is where we will need your partnership and continual communication with the candidate, more than ever.

•            A paper SOW will be created, to accompany the PO, that outlines all of these agreements. This will be signed by both vendor and QVC prior to the candidate’s start
