Description of Work: The ColdFusion Developer/Cloud Analyst will be responsible for supporting the enterprise Intranet portal and assist in the supporting the Platform as a Service (PaaS) initiative.
• Provide application development and maintenance support of the enterprise wide customer centric portal and associated databases.
• Provide PaaS technical expertise for applications development support, systems engineering, research, simulation, testing and innovation that assists applications developers through the applications release process.
• Assist in enabling DevOps processes and provide PaaS Application Support (PAS).
• Support the PAS Platform Architects in weekly meetings with Project Teams.
• Support PAS Platform Architects and Project Teams with assigned tasks/activities as indicated in Jira.
• Create, update, and manage PAS documentation using Confluence.
• Provide direct support to sandbox and Proof of Concept (PoC) projects (non-lifecycle projects).
• Coordinate Modern Development Environment (MDE) pipeline updates and testing.
• Review and consult on best-in-class government and industry modernization technology and competencies.
• Review and consult on risk management and mitigation techniques (i.e. evaluation, modeling, simulation, and prototyping).
The ideal individual possess a proven track record of supporting IT and a balance between technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. The candidate selected will be working on-site at a customer location, including being a part of on-call and off-hour support.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed.
• Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s Degree and 5 years of relevant experience; OR 11 years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5 years of experience in developing and maintaining Java and ColdFusion applications including releasing these applications through the development, validation, integration, test, and production pipeline environments.
• 5 years of experience in managing and documenting application development activities with Jira and Confluence.
• 3 years of experience in supporting PaaS planning and implementations.
• 2 years of experience in supporting DevOps processes and methodologies.
• 2 years of experience with BitBucket and Jenkins.
• Must be US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (Green card holder)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.
• Experience with Frameworks, Microsoft Visual Studio, Apache Subversion (SVN), C#, Internet Information Services (IIS), WEB Services, HTML, XML, SQL Server
• Experience with Mattermost, PostgreSQL, Selenium Grid, Sonarqube, Splunk, and/or Dynatrace.
• Project Management experience.
