Position: System Admin (Onsite Position)
Location: Jersey City, NJ and New York City, NY
Duration: Contract
Job Qualifications / Requirements:
Administrative
- Ability to travel to customer sites within 2 weeks’ notice
- Traveling 3-4 days per week
- Physically be able to lift up 50lbs
- Standing long periods of time within a data center
Physical equipment
- Experience racking and cabling equipment
- Experience running copper and fiber channel connections
- Experience installing and dealing with SFPs
Networking
- Experience configuring enterprise switch ports (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc)
- Knowledge of a link local address
- Ability to describe the difference between an access port and a trunk port

- Understanding of a “Native VLAN”
- Understanding of “LACP”?
Operating systems
- Experience installing software on windows servers
- Ability to adjust and make firewall rules on Windows
- Knowledge how to SSH/SCP files to/from a Linux system
- Experience downloading and installing packages on Linux systems
