Summary
The successful candidate will leverage their development skills and experience developing for data storage platforms, to design, build and deliver applications to support the data ingestion, loading and retrieval of significant amounts of data utilizing various backend storage systems.

Responsibilities:
• Designing and implementing large-scale ingest and retrieval systems for time series data
• Database schema design, including time series data patterns
• Optimizing all stages of the data lifecycle, from initial planning, to ingest, through API implementations to supporting data retrieval
• Developing custom solutions/code to ingest and exploit new and existing data sources
• Working with our QA team to improve our application quality and performance
• Providing support to maintain, optimize, troubleshoot, and configure our time series applications and infrastructure
• Evaluate and recommend additional solutions for time series and big data implementations

Qualifications/Skills Required:
• 4 years’ Experience with NoSQL, preferably MongoDB
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills, both written and oral
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Understanding of the latest trends and their role in a commercial environment
• Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Qualifications/Skills Desired:
• Experience with Azure IaaS/PaaS (App Service, Worker Roles, ServiceBus, Cloud Services)
• Experience with Javascript, python or C# a plus
• Experience with Data lake development a plus
• Experience developing for GitHub Actions, Containers, Docker and Kubernetes a plus
• Experience working with Apache Kafka a plus

• Experience with deployment automation a plus
