10+ years of system administration experience in Red Hat Linux server environments and proficient in tasks such as shell scripting, automating task scheduling, analyzing log files, managing user accounts and groups, configuring IP tables, and setting up mail services.
5+ years experience with Red Hat Satellite
5+ years experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere
5+ years experience with coding in BASH and Python, or similar
2+ years experience with managing systems using Red Hat Ansible Engine
Familiarity with web-based technologies, including but not limited to, reverse proxy servers, SSL certificate configuration, three-tier architecture, service oriented architecture, enterprise service bus, http, and differences between browsers.
Proven ability to multi-task and independent, self-starter.
Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written correspondence) in a professional and courteous manner with technical and non-technical personnel.
Able to participate in 24/7/365 on-call rotation, some rare occasions to travel to remote sites/data centers
Ability to coach and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
