The role of a Systems Database Administrator (DBA) consolidates an extensive knowledge of database technologies with an detailed understanding of infrastructure including network, security, servers and storage technologies and related tools. Expertise in an Agile DevOps environment is important. Candidates have expertise and experience with all aspects of Microsoft development (.Net, Windows OS, SQL Server, etc.).

Work typically includes areas such as SQL Server builds and upgrades, server/database security and vulnerability management, infrastructure and application performance monitoring & tuning, disaster/recovery planning and testing, etc. 

Familiarity with multiple database platforms (especially Oracle), virtualization using VMWare, containerization is a plus.
