  • Maintain, update and troubleshoot HPE Simplivity server infrastructure
  • Manage Storage Area Networks (Nimble, iSCSI, etc.)
  • Maintain, update, and optimize VMWare ESXi/vCenter 7.x virtual hosting environment
  • Assist with data center Cisco networking configurations
  • Assist global administrators with administrative tasks related to backup infrastructure, system logging, and security.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (system admins, program teams, etc.) to ensure the hosting environment meets business needs
  • Lead evaluation of software and techniques to be used within the virtual server infrastructure
  • Provide guidance, direction and support to IT Operations fellow engineers, system administrators, and database administrators.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills

  • Degree: Candidates must possess a bachelors degree in an IT related field and applicable Microsoft professional or expert certification.
  • IT Experience: Candidates must have 5+ years of IT experience with at least 2 years in an operations engineer capacity.
  • Knowledge and Expertise: Candidates must demonstrate broad knowledge and expertise in multiple technologies such as HPE Simplivity, VMWare solutions, virtualization, server administration, iSCSI Storage Area Networks, Cisco networking, client administration, and a clear understanding of cybersecurity principles.
  • Effective Verbal Communication: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to communicate in language that non-tech people can understand and in being adept at producing architectural diagrams and presentations for use in communication with various levels of management and staff in both the business and IT.
  • Interpersonal Relationships: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage relationships while demonstrating persistence and problem-solving and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Adaptation: Candidates must demonstrate the ability to adapt to new and changing situations.
  • Forward Thinking Candidates must possess the ability to recognize forward-looking business needs along with industry, business and IT trends.
