Position Description:
The Government Health and Safety Solutions Operation is seeking a Senior Java Developer with Spring Boot and Angular in.
The Senior Java Developer with Angular and Spring Boot, shall have extensive experience in developing and maintaining the high-performing Java applications. Has prime accountability for major projects and will develop detailed and robust design, code, test, and implement proposed systems. Ability to develop technical solutions, and document the solution architecture and design using standard design tools. The candidate will demonstrate design experience and be willing to challenge other team member's designs as well as receive and incorporate feedback. The candidate will be responsible for creating maintainable, adaptable, scalable, defect-free code using software development best practices and coding standards (i.e. software reuse, refactoring, continuous integration, test automation, secure development, Test Driven Development, static code analysis, peer/code review).
Leidos delivers services and technical leadership for mission-critical federal government, public sector and private sector programs. This opportunity is within our Health organization supporting our customer, the Social Security Administration.
The opportunity is located in Baltimore, on the west side of town near 695, Route 26, and Security Blvd.
Skills Requirements:
Required
o Front-end development skills: Angular 2.0, HTML/JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), YUI and/or J Query
o -Server-side component design skills: Object-Oriented Design with Java EE 6 and up, Spring/Spring Boot, Jax-WS and JAX-RS Web service development, Apache Open JPA or similar, EJB 3.0, common frameworks such as Maven, J Unit, Log4J, Mockito.
o -Usability and Section 508 principles,
o -SQL development for IBM DB2,
o –Web Sphere deployment.
o - Git, Bit Bucket, Jenkins automation
o Must demonstrate the experience and ability to work without technical oversight and to lead and/or supervise a team of specialists.
o Must possess superior oral and written communication skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues and ideas to team members, management and customers
