Senior Windows Admin/Messaging Engineer (Microsoft Teams)

Candidate's required/essential experience

·         Self-motivated Messaging and System Administrator (Teams) with experience of building out Microsoft Teams

·         Extensive knowledge of Microsoft O365 including the configuration and migration from Zoom to Teams.

·         In-depth knowledge of Audio/Video/Web Conferencing, Session Border Controllers/Gateways, SIP Trunk Configuration, High Availability and Disaster Recovery, Federation, Persistent Chat, Office Web Apps, Firewall Rules, and Monitoring/Reporting.

·         Proficient understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, DFS and the ability to maintain other Windows core services.

We are recruiting for a self-motivated Messaging and System Administrator (Teams) with experience building out Microsoft Teams for an initial 3 months engagement.

Position Summary / Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for managing the technical aspects for the design, configuration and build out of Microsoft Teams

·         Work with our 3rd party to develop the design and undertake the required configuration.

·         Delivery of prerequisites as stipulated by 3rd party.

·         Solution validation testing including troubleshooting and resolution of issues.

·         Provide end user support, including participating in walk-through demos of services and technical design.

·         Diagnosis of incidents during the migration, problems and change implementation to include the writing of Change Requests and seeking the required approvals.

·         Interface directly with the end users, project team and 3rd party to provide support.

·         Troubleshooting and resolving complex problems.

·         Ensure monitoring is in place and co-ordinate results from various parties, network, telephony, firewalls etc.

·         Undertake knowledge transfer to support teams (1st line, 2nd line)

Requirements

·         In-depth knowledge of Audio/Video/Web Conferencing, Session Border Controllers/Gateways, SIP Trunk Configuration, High Availability and Disaster Recovery, Federation, Persistent Chat, Office Web Apps, Firewall Rules, and Monitoring/Reporting.

·         Proficient understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, DFS and the ability to maintain other Windows core services.

·         Experience implementing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) with Active Directory.

·         Strong knowledge of PowerShell  .

·         Expert knowledge of networking concepts and technologies.

·         Extensive knowledge of Microsoft O365 including the configuration and migration from Skype to Teams.

·         A solid understanding of Windows Server 2012/2016, VMware, DHCP, DNS, Outlook, and OWA.

·         Solid knowledge of enterprise messaging.

·         Environments including but not limited to Active Directory.

·         Analytical approach to solve complex problems in a complex, large-scale, and multi data-center environments.

·         Microsoft Certified IP-PBX gateways, eg Sonus,QoS, AudioCodes

·         Understanding of Real Time Communication Protocols, eg SIP
