The role of a SQL Database Administrator (DBA)consolidates an extensive knowledge of database technologies with an in-depth understanding of application development tools and technologies. Expertise in an Agile DevOps environment is important. Experience working in an organization transforming to Agile development is a plus.
Qualified candidates will have expertise and experience with all aspects of Microsoft development (.Net, SQL Server, etc.).
Work includes areas such as agile development team support, workstream automation and standardization, database security, design, code review, unit testing, performance tuning, database monitoring & reporting of metrics, application integration and ETL support, etc.
Familiarity with multiple database platforms (especially Oracle), cloud-based development, containerization is a plus.
