JOB DETAIL

We are seeking 5 Sr. Java Developers with at least 7+ years of IT experience to join a large modernization project.

 

**From the Manager:

 

These developers must have experience with AWS, Modern tools (Jenkins, Git Hub) and SpringBoot, and Terraform.

 

They need someone who has operated in an AWS environment, built servers using terraform, deployed using Jenkins and stored their code within GitHub.

 

These developers will be supporting the Mobile Modernization effort within the digital organization. They will be working on the core banking layers to rewrite the backend in the cloud.  They will need modern tech stack experience (leveraging dev ops tools).

 

MUST HAVE:

  • 5+ years of Java back-end or full-stack development
  • 2+ years of AWS software development experience
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Git / GitHub, and popular CI/CD tools
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with Agile methodology  

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement cloud-native software solutions on the AWS platform.
  • Build and share technical expertise with agile team members and other members of the organization.
  • Participate in technology communities of practice to define and continuously refine standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Achieve operational excellence by automating processes and creating maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions.
  • Keep up with technology trends and innovations in your field(s) of practice
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for your team’s products and services
  • Maintain appropriate controls and documentation to ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training for new or less experienced team members
  • Provide leadership and guidance to your team in your technical field(s) of expertise

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • 7+ years of engineering or other IT work experience relevant to the position
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a highly-collaborative environment
  • Solid understanding and significant experience with modern software development practices, tools, and hardware technologies
  • Solid understanding of Internet application security best practices
  • Expertise in one or more technical and/or functional domains relevant to the position
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting complex technical solutions
