JOB DETAIL

Sr. SAP CRM QA is responsible for executing the QA testing efforts involving multiple work streams that include Digital, CRM (Customer Relationship Management), and WCM (Web Content Management) and their integrated operational and financial systems. This role requires the individual to execute and deliver all testing efforts primarily on the automation side with some groundwork around test data creation and manual test case creation. For this technical role the test analyst should to be able to articulate an optimized testing effort and get involved into root cause analysis of a multi layered CRM solution.

Major Responsibilities

  • Working in the following functional areas:
    • Testing employee-facing and customer-facing website, mobile, and tablet integrated solutions including experience with cross browser testing concepts and tools and mobile device testing and validation
    • Analyzing manual and Automation testing cloud WCM and CRM systems that are fully integrated with other business systems and middleware (Informatica preferred)
    • Web/UI testing experience to be able to ensure web pages are on brand (content and design consistency) including brand voice, testing web UI, and experience editing and proof-reading content
  • Working in the following QA areas:
    • Writing, executing and maintaining both automated (80%) and manual (20%) test cases for functional and regression testing (e.g., end-to-end functional testing, performance testing, smoke testing, etc.) which requires translating both simple and complex business rules to easy to understand test cases and ensure that released applications meets agreed-upon requirements and can be mapped for traceability purposes
    • Manage and report test results which will require clear and concise documentation and an ability to conduct root cause analysis and communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical personnel.
    • Working with stakeholders, product owners and engineers to understand complex systems and interfaces to determine efficient analysis and testing approaches and mapping to business requirements for traceability purposes
    • Maintaining test sandbox environments to include managing test data, configuring systems for specific test needs, and monitoring issue reports
    • Work with the Agile team to identify testing strategies for a planned release including but not limited to end-to-end testing, performance testing, and functional testing as well as ensuring acceptance criteria area are achieved
    • Help with the delivery of backlog items by supporting the testing activities on the development team
    • Help establish a consistent feedback loop for the development team around quality related changes as required. Includes defining and helping to validate non-functional and functional test scenarios
    • Help analyze and diagnose incoming user feedback including leading UAT and user testing. This includes understanding new requirements as enhancements or changes, diagnosing defects, and assisting in the resolution of defects and or system problems
    • Develop and maintain critical regression tests to ensure changes to products or data sources do not adversely affect existing data quality and loading processes
    • Develop and execute a plan to identify, collect and load necessary test data to effectively run test cases with the ability to Schedule and automate jobs to be run in a batch process

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in Web Content Management, Digital, and CRM, QA, and Technology Domain
  • 4+ years’ experience with QA functional responsibilities and technical domain experiences
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC - Feasibility Requirements Analysis, Design, Testing, Implementation, Support) and Agile as well as Waterfall
  • Experience with at least one of the following QA Test Management tools – JIRA, Azure DevOps Test Plans
  • Hands on experience with one of following Test Automation Tool – Katalon Studio, Selenium, SoapUI
  • Experience with at least one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g. SQL, Java, Groovy, JavaScript, Unix, XML)
  • Experience in preparing daily test status reports to communicate the test status within an onshore/offshore team
  • Excellent communication skills, self-starter, detail oriented, integrity & initiative driven individual with an overall team player attitude
  • Familiarity with source code, version management, and code deployment /dev ops standards
  • Highly experienced writing test plans and test cases, and documenting software defects and anomalies
  • Experience with configuration management / build management procedures
  • Exhibits excellent oral communication, written communication, organizational, and time management skills in dealing with internal and external clients
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel at all levels
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines with the ability to work under pressure
  • Preferred, but not required, knowledge and understanding of the utility industry
