Title: Java Developer Lead
Location: Denver, CO
High Level Job responsibilities:
- Work in a fast-paced agile driven extreme programming environment with focus on test driven development and CI/CD
- Translate documented requirements/stories from Rally into object-oriented pattern based code in Java, Spring framework
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Understand & Work on the Stories/Tasks assigned, includes coding and unit test coverage.
- Update stories and tasks with status/comments for accuracy
- As part of Coding/Testing ensure Accessibility is addressed along with follow the MR guidelines before merge requests
- Support any production issue as part of your rotation and update Incidents to keep it current/accurate
- As part of the Test cycle, work on the defects related to your area or assigned to you.
- Identity any additional stories/tasks needed and coordinate with Tech lead/PO to get those created/updated
Skills and experience
High-level qualifications:
- 4-year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor of Science preferred with 4+ years professional Development experience. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Java / J2EE object oriented pattern based development experience or other OO languages & concepts. As well as a strong desire to learn and a ""can do"" attitude"".
- Experience with CI/CD, Java, Spring, React, Redux, cypress, Struts, JSP, CSS/Sass, JS, jQuery , bootstrap, typescript, JDBC, Mockito, JUnit, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Git, Kotlin
- Strong problem solving skills and debugging skills
Specific qualifications:
- Hands on Experience with React, Redux, Cypress, Struts, Spring, CSS/Saas, JSP, Bootstrap, Git, Gradle
- Experience in designing and developing REST services using Java and Spring boot
- Experience in unit testing React components using Enzyme and Jest.
