Description/Comment: Develop and support software features in a complex, multi-component warehouse automation environment supporting multiple facilities in the US, with the potential for future facilities worldwide. This person will play a key role in delivering operational excellence to a leading logistics company developing and deploying cutting-edge automation software.
Support and enhance existing server applications; work with the customer teams to identify, scope and design new software features to improve warehouse operations; develop, document and deploy those features; work with other software teams to ensure compatibility and effective cross-system integration. Work with customers to diagnose operational issues, identify root causes and design appropriate long-term improvements. While the primary working hours will coincide with US working hours, rotating off-hours escalation support (level 3 & 4) is required.

Qualifications - External
Required:
• 3-5 years experience developing Java server applications
• Experience with SQL
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with both technical and business personnel
• Ability to triage and prioritize needs based on business value
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment
• Commitment to software quality, documentation and good software engineering practices
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent work experience
