JOB DETAIL

The WeGO project requires an experienced Test Lead to support a critical resort property management software application upgrade (TSW) across all resorts and supporting locations in early October. The nature of the application requires a waterfall big-bang implementation.

 

This is a budgeted full-time 6+ month engagement with potential to extend if additional break-fix or enhancements follow. The role will be required to lead two contracted test resources.  The back half of the project for SIT, UAT, and end user training.

 

Job Description:

The WeGO Project Test Lead will support the overall project, track leads, and internal technical resources through all phases of IT testing including: developer code promotion cycles from DEV-QA-PROD; developing test cases/scripts, integration unit testing, application functional workflow testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-go-live fixes/testing.

 

The project testing scope includes integrations with various supporting 3rd party on-premise and cloud-based resort/hotel applications that interface data with the TSW Enterprise 2018 application which utilize the Azure DevOps environment and iPaaS services, such as the customer facing Owner’s Lounge web application and the Welk reporting data warehouse.

 

The ideal Test Lead is experienced with medium-large size end user applications; is self-directed and possess good communication skills in a remote and onsite environment.

 

Responsibilities / Skills:

  • Leads, coordinates, conducts testing efforts, including QA and UAT
  • Previous experience writing test cases and scripts
  • Experience writing and executing a full test plan from beginning to end is required
  • Strong QA and functional testing experience in a web applications environment
  • Coordinate testing sessions, including facilities, setup, preparation, training, scripting, execution, bug tracking, requirements traceability, and results reporting
  • Identify risks throughout testing to mitigate delays to timelines
  • Size and prioritize defects and enhancement requests

 

Requirements / Experience:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years related IT testing experience in a similar role supporting a large-scale end-user application of similar scope with 500+ users
  • Full IT life cycle development testing from Requirements to Post Implementation support
  • Skilled in project reporting via MS PowerPoint to communicate Status, Risk Mitigation, Process Improvements, and Business Cases
  • Familiarity with Enterprise collaboration tools MS Teams, SharePoint, Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with IT and business users to ensure project timelines are met
  • Strong process documentation and project management experience
  • Timeshare and/or hotel industry knowledge is a plus
  • TimeShareWare (TSW) system knowledge a plus
