Role : Software QA Test Engineer

Location: Torrance,  California

Length:  6  months contractual

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Skills:
• Experience in use of automated test tools and test management software, preferably TFS or JIRA
• Working experience with soapUI and JMeter tool
• Working experience with Selenium with C#/Java frameworks
• Working experience with appium on Java/TestNG framework for Mobile application automation testing
• Strong SQL database testing skills preferably with MS SQL
• Understanding of quality assurance and testing processes within an Agile environment with an eye toward innovating and improving test processes
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment within your team and beyond
• Experience working in Cross Functional Teams
• Proficient in SQL Queries - understanding and usage of union, sub-query, and joins
• Perform data analysis as well as interpretation.
• Experience in trouble shooting and resolving challenges for existing testing tools /frameworks
• Working knowledge in Agile methodology
• Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution
• Proficient in devising/maintaining all artifacts of testing such as Test Scenarios, RTM, Test Cases, Defect Reports and Test Summary Report
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Ability to effectively manage implementation of enhancements, change requests, and releases across multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer and results orientation

Experience:
• 3+ years’ experience developing test plans, test cases, assessing risk, and filing appropriate defects
• Excellent knowledge of software testing methodologies & practices
• Experience testing a variety of mobile frameworks and/or applications
• Experience developing automated software tests

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
