We have a requirement for 2 Java Engineer Positions. There are not a lot of years’ experience required but these people have to have the level of communication to write or talk with senior leadership.  They look for sharp, talented coders who have a passion for what they do and it is noticeable when you talk to them.

Also the ‘Preferred’ List is really more of a ‘Want’ list.

  

Job Summary

We’re looking for progressive and talented Java engineers to work on our existing platform and help drive toward a new and innovative platform.

Responsibilities

•          Involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle

•          Develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

•          Provide help and support to other team members

•          Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future

•          Troubleshoot and debug applications

•          Learn about new technologies

•          Stay up to date with current best practices

•          Works with Architects, Technical Leads and Business Teams

•          Follow new and emerging technologies

•          Identifies potential process improvement areas and suggests options and recommends approaches

•          Ensure that the implemented components are unit tested and ready to be integrated into the product.

•          Problem Solving: Recognize complex problems related to functional objectives.

•          Creativity and judgment applied to developmental work on different projects within the business environment.

 

Requirements

•          Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

•          3+ years of experience in a computing environment

•          2+ years of experience in Java development

•          Proficient in SQL and Stored Procedures such as in Oracle and MySQL

•          Hands-on experience in cloud technologies like AWS/Azur

•          Experience with Scrum and other Agile processes.

•          Working knowledge of Jira, Jenkins, GitHub

•          Experience with nontraditional data types such as JSON

•          Experience in No-SQL databases (MongoDB, CouchBase)

 

Preferred

•          Understanding of Event-processing pipelines using Kafka, Java, Zookeeper, Hadoop, Spark, S3, Spark Streaming

•          Experience with NoSQL(MongoDB, Couch

•          Experience with Data lake development

•          Working knowledge of Docker and containerization concepts
