Oracle DBA Job Requirements
Experience: 8+ yrs

ORACLE DBA RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support in a production environment
• Database maintenance including monitoring and maintenance tasks (Linux, Sun Solaris, etc.)
• Design and build new database structures
• Perform backup and recovery tasks
• Developing and maintaining shell scripts as well as programming in PL/SQL
• Communicate both business and technical terms and information/requirements/instructions to a wide variety of audiences (face-to-face, teleconference, phone and email)

ORACLE DBA TOP SKILLS:
• Oracle 12c with good experience in PDB/CDB
Understanding of the Core Architecture
• Linux/Sun OS operating systems experience
• Strong Experience with:
• Dataguard & Switch-overs (Primary / Standby)
• Golden Gate - Configuring and managing replication
• Install/Configure RAC (Real Application Clusters 11g/12c)
• Transparent Data Encryption
• RMAN (Recovery Manager)
• OEM Agent Installation / Troubleshoot (OEM13c)
• Database migrations / Database Upgrades
• Grid / Oracle Home / DB Patching
• UNIX and shell scripting
• Good Knowledge / Hands on Experience in Exadata.
• CICD Tools – Jenkins
• stored procedures, triggers, functions, packages, partitioning and indexes.
• Performance Tuning – Perform root cause analysis, resolve problems and recommend solutions.
• recommending preventative database maintenance to provide availability capacity, integrity, and security against operating level agreements.
