JOB DETAIL

 

The candidate will join the Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) team within the Cyber Security organization. The candidate will work with business stakeholders, product managers and engineers to deliver automation via the SOAR platform. The candidate will be responsible for communicating with business stakeholders to gather insight into their processes and to ensure that solutions meet their needs. She/he will collaborate with other engineers to design, develop, test, document and implement those solutions.

The SOAR team is responsible for automation that facilitates the bank’s SOC and CSIRT functions by handling redundant tasks, enriching data and tying together disparate systems. This is a global team and Cyber Security Engineers collaborate with teams in all regions and across multiple time zones within Credit Suisse.

• Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve services, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer
• Analyze requirements and work together with engineers to find the best technical solution
• Support the platform, when needed
• Integrate the SOAR platform with the business processes in the bank
• Act as Subject Matter Expert and contribute with the development of the service working closely with other engineers, stakeholders and the product manager
• Identify and document best practices
• Create and maintain documentation of design, configuration and testing
The role will require strong communication skills to work in close collaboration between development, site reliability engineering and stakeholders:

• Effective communication skills with a sense of ownership and drive
• Investigation and design of new automation and integrations with other systems
• Problem analysis and solution proposal
• Python programming and automation playbook development
• Structured testing and documentation
Minimum qualifications:

• Previous Python programming work
• Understanding of Agile / SCRUM concepts
• Excellent communications skills
• Experience with writing technical documentation for internal audiences
• Exceptional Time Management and organization
• A positive and constructive minded team player
• Working knowledge of the Linux operating system
• Experience working in a highly regulated, enterprise environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience programming interactions with REST APIs
• Basic SQL knowledge
• Cyber Security background
