What you’ll achieve
As a Technical Program Manager in the BIOS Firmware architecture team, you will identify the new features and HW that impact BIOS and firmware. Work with solution architects, create feature and architecture designs to meet the platform deliverables during the Concept and Define phases. Support RFQ (Request for Quote) and Plan Phase deep dive. Identify the risks, mitigation, and contingency for each new features. Work closely with marketing, HW system architects, and other technical support groups in cross-functional teams.
You will:
· Work across the organization, with platform teams, support BIOS, Firmware, and drivers architectures on the commercial client products
· Identify interdependencies of HW and BIOS/FW/drivers/SW.
· Represent the BIOS/FW architects in the platform core teams
· Coordinate and collaborate with BIOS/FW/driver solution architects, align new features on the host client products.
· Deliver the collaterals needed for concept entry to define exit of the product.
· Support plan phase product deep dives.
Essential Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree, EE, Computer Science, or Computer Software
· ~10 years of related experience in product development, product/solution areas, BIOS, firmware, and program management
· Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams to define the product/solution definition and requirements
· Capability to clearly communicate technical matters and build relationships with decision makers, including the ability to convey BIOS and Firmware technical design and impact.
· Understand BIOS, Firmware, Windows drivers, and PC architecture. Ability to identify HW impacts to BIOS, EC firmware, and drivers.
· Working experience of using JIRA and Confluence tools
· Working experience with Scrum, Scrum-ban, Kanban development process.
