- Designs, develops and tests mainframe (COBOL, CICS, DB2)
- Use Cobol to analyze routines, procedures, TIP screens, ECL, batch jobs and FTPs which make up discrete parts of the systems.
- Unit and integration testing of programming assignments.
- Responsible for assisting with the technical design for new development and system enhancements.
- Performance tuning of new and existing applications.
- Production support tasks including analysis of issue, propose and implement solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Analyze DMS and RDMS database structures, data dictionaries and source code for discrepancies or inaccuracies.
- Good written and spoken communication skills.
- Worked on multiple projects involving complex systems analysis, design and complete application development
Roles & Responsibilities
- Technical Support of user testing efforts.
- Document system specifications and solutions to facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate project activities among other team members, users, and/or requesters.
- Work closely with Architects and others on the applications development team to refine solution design.
- Report status of current tasks and outstanding issues to supervisor and project leads;
