Duties:           

•         In this role, the primary task is to provide DBA Support for large number of SAP Oracle databases, including but not limited to, Database Upgrades, RMAN Setups of various SAP Systems running on Oracle. 

•         Should have solid experience in SAP/Oracle Environment, preferably in Oracle 18c and 19c.

•         Should be able to handle multiple assignments concurrently, leveraging experience and should have skills in handling complex assignments.

•         Experience in SQL Server is a plus.

•         Work with project team and application team in requirements gathering and analysis sessions.

•         Analyze, understand and implement existing upgrade methodology and strategy.

•         Determine and implement best practices around migrations and upgrades of databases.

•         Define project timelines and schedule database upgrades and effectively communicate all milestones to application liaison and leadership.

•         Understand and adhere to our Database Standards and Processes. Effectively communicate and enforce our DB Standards and Policies.

•         Provide post migration support and resolve all related issues.

•         Work with application teams and project teams to resolve performance issues.

•         Liaison with the architectural team and infrastructure teams to align architectural requirements and ensure timely delivery of infrastructure deliverables.

•         Document all upgrade results, findings and lessons learned.

•         Ensure existing Operation Support documentation is up to date.

•         Perform KT to Operations Support Teams after successful implementation. Complete KT Documentation.

•         Create/update DR documents and participate in DR tests if required.

•         Ensure SOX Standards are adhered to and complied with.

Skills:

•         5+ years of experience in providing DBA support for large number of and very large Oracle databases for SAP systems.

•         Oracle RDBMS 12c, 18c, 19c

•         Oracle OEM 13c, Foglight.

•         RMAN

•         Scripting

•         Upgrades and SBPs installs

•         SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019 is a plus.

•         Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Unix/Linux/Windows environments.

•         Extensive experience in SAP/Oracle environments. This is a must.

•         An excellent understanding of Oracle and SQL internals.

•         Advanced Performance tuning skills to identify the contention at Database and OS layer and be able to provide the solution quickly to resolve production issues. Should have experience in interpreting performance metrics quickly.

•         Service Now experience is a plus.

•         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•         Strong troubleshooting skills with an attention to detail and an ability to follow process.

•         Strong commitment to adhering to standards and procedures.

•         Ability to work and remain calm in a high-pressure environment.

•         Good team working skills but equally capable of working independently.
