JOB DETAIL

The Software Quality Assurance Lead will guide and manage the testing of existing applications and drive the entire end to end testing.  Working under the direction of management, this position manages internal and external testing resources during the software development lifecycle, establishes metrics, mentors team members and manages outside resources, as well as developing test programs.  The QA Lead will collaborate with internal or external partners to build and develop Test Strategies, Test Plan and Test Scripts to meet the needs of the business requirement.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

-Provides technical leadership to drive the successful completion of testing on different platforms like mobile and web based applications.

-Works with business partners in a cross functional matrix to gain a clear understanding of requirements.

-Acts as a technology and domain subject matter expert in multiple business domains and or technical areas.

-Recommends and implements tools associated with test automation.

-Creates and/or approves test strategy document, test plan and test scripts or test cases.

-Responsible for creating test data in Dev and QA environment using SAP systems.

-Identifies opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.

-Develop test plans/cases with cross functional alignment against business requirements

-Interact directly with onshore offshore testers to ensure test cases are executed

-Baseline and benchmark the quality and performance of all applications.

-Validate and reproduce all defects reported to development teams.

-Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Excellent communication and collaboration capabilities to be able to discuss, influence, and deliver technical concepts easily and efficiently to testing teams.

-Knowledge of full systems development life cycle (SDLC).

-Knowledge of full software testing life cycle (STLC).

-Highly organized with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

-Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization either verbally, through email, or by attending team meetings on the status of current initiatives.

-Ability to manage onshore and offshore resources. 

-Must be able to assist testing teams during detail design activities to clear roadblocks and drive to an outcome.

-Ability to help production support teams to troubleshoot production issues if needed.

-Ability to lead using SCRUM management tools to deliver on sprint goals and commitments.  

-Knowledge of Cloud Computing and ERP systems.

-Ability to read the logs and assist the dev team to troubleshoot issues.


Education and Experience Required:

-BE or BS Degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred. 

-5+ years of QA experience.

-3+ years of related supervisory or QA lead position experience.

-Experience in both Waterfall and AGILE project management methodologies preferred. 

-Experience with Azure Web Services preferred.

-Experience in driving the test automation efforts.

-Experience in load testing is preferable.
