Description:

Role summary: The Global Results Analysis group, which falls within Capital Group’s Investment Operations (IO) area, is responsible for delivering accurate and timely performance measurement (“results measurement”) and portfolio analytics to external clients and a variety of internal stakeholders. To support Capital Group’s continued growth, we are looking to add a consultant to the Los Angeles office. Responsibilities may include:
• Investment results measurement – Calculating, validating, maintaining, portfolio investment results for Capital Group’s American Funds suite of mutual funds, models and other products.
• Investment results evaluation and analysis – Calculation of portfolio attribution, benchmark analysis, transaction and holdings analysis (e.g., portfolio concentration and overlap, portfolio turnover, etc.).
• Data analysis – Validating and integrating data from multiple platforms or products to build custom exhibits; using various tools to pull and manipulate data.
• Client Group support – Researching issues and fulfilling ad hoc reporting and data requests.
• Monitor and liaise with external vendors – Ensuring external vendor adherence to agreed-upon accuracy and timeliness standards, using existing controls and procedures.
• Risk management – Adhering to best practices, procedures, and controls
 to mitigate and manage operational risks.
Qualifications
• Candidates are preferred to have a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, mathematics, economics, statistics, MIS, or other quantitative field.
• Experience in the investment management industry. Specific experience in the investment management industry, portfolio analysis, portfolio/fund accounting or operations.
• Excellent problem solving skills and intellectual curiosity.
• High service orientation, integrity, and ownership of work.
• Strong communication skills; interpersonal savvy and an ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of the following applications : Morningstar, Lipper, Factset, Alteryx, advanced Excel
