Job Function:  Provides system support in a computer platform environment for BBVA USA’s servers and associated networks.  Plans and coordinates the maintenance of system and vendor software packages, including operating system software.  Troubleshoots and resolves technical problems as well as keeps and updates documentation of existing infrastructure.
Education and Training:  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.  Certifications in Solaris, AIX, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux are useful but not required.
 
Required Qualifications:
Must have at least 8-10 years of experience with years of UNIX systems installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and administration experience.
Must have strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Must have excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Must be able to multitask and coordinate several projects simultaneously.
Must work well under pressure.
Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
 
Must-Have Skills/Experience:
Experience working with Amazon Web Services, VMWare, and Oracle Engineered Systems
Ability to create virtual environments in VMware and Oracle VM (LDOMs and Zones)
Ansible, Terraform, Packer experience is highly desirable
Experience working in 24/7 operational environments
