Performs complex analysis, acquisition, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of computer hardware, OSs, and software utilities. - Maintains software such as compilers, link editors, assemblers, utilities, scripts, macros, and subroutines. Mentors team. 6-10 years of experience

JOB TITLE: Systems Administrator II

JOB DUTIES:

Administer multiple VMWare Clouds, including configuration, operation and support of VMs and physical servers, coordinating as needed with vendor support. Includes patch management, backups, buildout of new and upgraded systems. Significant focus on security and remediating vulnerabilities, and maintenance of antivirus clients. Respond to requests for assistance in supporting custom and third party applications, including providing installation and configuration as needed. Includes basic database installation/administration as well.

MUST HAVE SKILLS

Must be proficient and experienced with VMWare (6.5 or higher) and SANs. Requires ability to install, configure and patch Microsoft OS servers (OS 2012 and higher). Must have basic familiarity of Microsoft SQL Server DB and Linux OS. Requires willingness to pick up additional application systems administration and analysis responsibilities through OJT. Requires minimum of 6 years of Systems Administration experience.

DESIRED SKILLS:

Pluses include experience with the following:

CENTOS,
MySQL DB,
MariaDB,
Networking (TCP/IP - SIP),
Call Center Environment.

May involve support of certain components of Cisco UCCE Soft ACD, including CVP, which would involve OJT to develop needed skills.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:

Associate or higher degree in IT-related field preferred.

REQUIRED SHIFT:

Normally standard 8-5 shift (8 hour Monday-Friday). Includes periodic evening maintenances, as well as on-call support. Generally remote work with occasional office visits for working on physical devices, such as hard reboots.
