JOB DETAIL

This  (Project Manager  with IT Production Support) will be responsible for managing the IT Team for their in-house and vendor purchased applications such as PeopleSoft Financials, Oracle HR, SharePoint and others. The ideal candidate will bring IT knowledge, leadership, management abilities, process design skills and business acumen to transform the Production Support Team. The successful candidate will possess problem solving and decision-making skills together with excellent operations support management and best practices skills. 

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of team supervisory experience leading and directing day to day functions of an IT Application or Production Support Team
  • 10+ years of IT experience as a senior developer, architect or related role
  • Solid architecture, application and software design principles
  • Expertise with supporting systems, security best practices, automation and deployment activities
  • Expertise in managing vendors, cloud solutions, and adherence to Service Level Agreements. 
  • Expertise in problem solving, can effectively troubleshoot, identify and resolve issues quickly
  • Strong Incident Management experience with strengths in managing and prioritizing incidents
  • Strong aptitude to ensure effective execution on support and time sensitive deliverables
  • Great communication and motivational skills in working with teams

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute production support activities for 5-15 resources both onsite and offsite
  • Leads team growth ensuring the organization and team goals align ensuring employees are highly motivated and successful
  • Support for 10-20 application systems (on location and in cloud)
  • Interact with technology teams, business units, governance and auditing teams
  • Act as Technical System Owner and Data Custodian for systems
  • Responsible for department level budgeting including service renewals and professional services
  • Monitor and manage application reliability, availability, security, performance and compliance
  • Partner with the necessary IT and/or business stakeholders to squelch repeating events and/or incidents. Responsible for ensuring incidents are registered and escalated as necessary
  • Collaborates with Change Management ensuring that systems are successfully implemented in change control processes
  • Manage, execute and adhere to SLA’s
  • Approves/denies access for directs and systems
  • Ensure all systems are well documented and in compliance
  • Operates effectively with minimal oversight
  • Makes consistently good choices and decisions
  • Excellent written and interpersonal skills
