The Senior Project Manager will work with the Mortgage Banking line of businesses. The primary purpose of this job is to be accountable for one or more strategic, high risk projects focused on loan origination and fulfillment projects. This position will collaborate with stakeholders to establish deadlines, tracks responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. The Senior Project Manager will build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.
Essential Functions
- Provide business program management leadership for multiple assigned projects within the Mortgage Division.
- Lead estimation and planning activities in advance of project start.
- Develop and execute communication plans with appropriate division staff to ensure processes are properly designed to meet business needs and provide the desired of member experience.
- Define and manage issues and risks, scope, and identify tasks necessary to complete assigned work.
- Document requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables.
- Direct team resources responsible for executing and assisting in specific tasks when necessary.
- Monitor project schedule, performance, quality, and budget using appropriate tools and techniques, and help implement corrective actions.
- Identify and implement actions to improve overall team performance and build a positive, team-oriented culture.
- Work closely with vendors and other external partners.
- Ensure training of the appropriate division staff with an emphasis on member experience.
- Lead project communications and delivery; create status reports and other deliverables necessary to inform and align stakeholders verbally and in writing.
- Proactively manage changes in project, identify potential crisis, and devise contingency plans.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of mortgage originations project experience required with seven to ten years of Project Management experience.
