•           Developing User Stories and Tasks

•           Completing Story Tasks and User Stories

•           Coding to the Clean Code Standard

•           Write code in SQL, C#, or other languages as directed

•           Write unit tests to code coverage

•           Participate in developing test protocols as needed

•           Check-in work daily and run all unit tests daily

•           Mentor more junior developers

•           Prepare necessary documents, models or perform such writing tasks as requested

•           Perform demoes as requested

•           Participate in meetings as scheduled

•           Collaborate with the College faculty and staff as needed

•           Work in such a manner as to reflect the values and principles of the college at all times

•           Respond to user complaints of lock-out, slow performance, etc.

•           Review and rationalize SQL Server security logins, roles, and permissions. Work with auditors to ensure regulatory compliance.

•           Write Transact-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for production tasks and special requests. Improve performance of existing SQL code, as needed.

•           Design database tables, columns, indexes, foreign keys, constraints.

•           Database performance tuning including index maintenance, statistics maintenance, and consistency checks.

•           Create and monitor scheduled SQL Server Agent jobs.

•           Determine predicted impact of planned database changes.

•           Design / develop T-SQL and .NET applications to analyze, summarize, import, export data as needed.

•           Installing and configuring new SQL Server instances per best practices.

•           Documenting database configurations as they change.

•           Liaison/resource with software developers.

•           Setup and manage test instances of production databases.

•           Restore, refresh, or migrate databases as needed.

•           Any tasks required to protect the integrity of the databases and their data.

•           Liaison with IT infrastructure team members.
