Client is looking for a SAS Technical Project Manager (TPM) for a long term REMOTE contract role

Overview:

·        The TPM will be a person with a very strong SAS programming background of at least seven (7) years in the industry.

·        He/she must have a combination of management experience (minimum of two (2) years) and technical programming (minimum of five (5) years) in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech industry.

·        Strong oral and written communication skills are requirements as a key contact person working with the client and possibly partners.

·        A BS degree in a computer science, statistical, or science related field is a minimum requirement.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

·        The expectation is that the TPM would be a “hands on” SAS programmer for at least 75% of his/her time.

·        About 25% of the time he/she would provide technical consulting to programmers working in the group.

·        Support includes providing appropriate code review and ensuring quality checks are performed on Deliverables.

·        Issues would be raised about time lines, Deliverables, quality directly to the TPM, and he/she would be the key communicator with the client in resolving problems at the team level.

·        The TPM would be the key person for on-boarding additional programmers, explaining how to work with the client, and mentoring them in working in the client model.

·        About 5% of the time could or would be traditional line management of the group.
