- 10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer responsible for complex application design and development
- 5+ years of object-oriented programming experience using Python and/or Java
- 3+ years of experience implementing solutions using Kafka (preferred), Hadoop/EMR, and/or Elastic Index
- 2+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions in AWS including a deep understanding of core AWS offerings (IAM, S3, EC2, EKS, EMR, AWS CLI)
- 2+ years of experience containerizing and deploying using Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and Docker
- 2+ years of experience designing and developing CICD pipelines using Jenkins (preferred) or GitLab
- Unix/Shell, Python, SQL scripting skills
- Experienced with solutions that process large data sets (e.g. 100m rows per table, or 100+Tb databases)
- Experience mentoring and managing developers and performing code/solution reviews including with geographically diverse teams
- Ability to document and present your designs to architects and developers
- Bachelor’s Degree required, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred

- Experience with Snowflake and no-sql database offerings like MongoDB is a plus
- Experience deploying applications to Apache & Nginx as RestAPIs

An employer is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to join an exciting Data and Analytics team with a Fortune 500 financial services client sitting 100% remote. This individual will join an exciting Data and Analytics team responsible for building Data Lake and Analytic Platforms for enterprise risk and compliance. The Analytic Platform will support the deployment and management of Machine Learning models developed by business partners. This role is part of a cross-functional team of architects, developers, systems analysts and quality insurance associates. This role requires strong technical leadership as well as hands-on skills, as you will create Proof of Concepts for the key components to be developed by the team.

Responsibilities:
-Designing and developing tools and solutions to deploy and execute containerized applications
-Moving data from Kafka to Snowflake
-Writing data / CICD automation pipelines w/ Jenkins
-Containerizing data models and deploying them / making sure they are deployable
