Client has recently transitioned to SAP S4 Hana.  The Manufacturing SAP Business Process Leader (Mfg BPL) role is part of the Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain organization.  This individual will support manufacturing and drive optimization and effectiveness of the S4 architecture and integration into the business of the organization.

The Mfg BPL will be responsible for the identification of manufacturing needs related to SAP to streamline and support efficient manufacturing operations. This role will be responsible to translate the manufacturing process into SAP requirements, translate requirements into SAP configurations, and manage testing through implementation.  This role will develop training documentation and ensure end users have the knowledge necessary to perform their duties.  He or she will be responsible for managing and reporting on project status, as well as ensuring projects are completed to agreed scope, schedule, within budget, and provide the desired outcomes. The position will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and IT members and the Global eWM Business Process Owner.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible to ensure the SAP Manufacturing Workstream delivers best business practices

Troubleshooting issues and act as point of escalation for Manufacturing issues related to S4 Hana.

Work with manufacturing teams to identify and establish value added reporting and metrics from SAP that will enable more efficient operations

Engage workforce to uncover inefficiencies and areas to help poke yoke the process

Collaborating with finance, quality, and other stakeholders to ensure system is meeting all compliance requirements in a streamlined fashion.

Leading and managing blueprint workshops, working with business function owners to understand business requirements and translating these into SAP configuration specifications for the SAP IT Team

Establishing SAP test plans and perform testing together with business owners

Problem solving related to Process Design and execution. Conduct formal reviews at the completion of each phase, consolidated the issues, and communicate progress

Develop training plans for all new applications/updates and lead training initiatives for functional team

Function as the business user representative, interact with function owners and business process leaders/ SME’s to define optimal processes leveraging S4 capability

Ensures all functional processes comply with local legal requirements and customized processes comply with the Company's policies.

Participate on cross-functional project teams to support upgrades and enhancements

Partner with IT and business teams on 3rd party software integration with SAP such as Camstar, Kardex,  quality and process monitoring applications.

Define Master data management and map all fields to use in SAP algorithms

Answer end user and engineering questions, train on new processes and tools, research and resolve problems, working with appropriate technical resources, if necessary.

Analyze data to identify problems or recommend preventive action, and trouble shoot problems to determine root cause, walk end-users through resolution for problems

Support critical Innovation projects, new products, new processes, new technologies and ensure that project design supports future innovation in SAP as they may be released.

 

Key Skills/Experiences:

Demonstration of in-depth technical capabilities in SAP Manufacturing in a highly regulated environment. Possess strong business acumen in assembly environments.

8+ years as a manufacturing liaison to design, develop, implement, testing IT systems based on SAP solutions.

Participation in multiple projects including S/4 Hana system projects.

Experience in FDA regulated industry and familiarity with CFR 21 Part 11, GMP, SAS, and Sarbanes Oxley a plus

Technical aptitude: ability to learn new systems and information quickly

Strong technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms understandable to the business, needs to be able to train the organization

Excellent Presentation, Communication & Inter-Personal skills

Capable to build relationships with the key business stakeholders to understand their needs

Ability to work in a dynamic environment with competing priorities

Understanding of Lean Methodologies and Operational Excellence

Experience and proven success working in a multi-cultural environment
