SR AWS Java Developer

Position Description
Senior Cloud-Native Developers that are fluent in AWS, Java, NodeJS, SQL and DevOps to be a technical resource for the development of clean and maintainable code and drive to solve interesting and complex challenges to develop best-in-class solutions.



FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Provides expert level IT services and technical expertise in systems, technical infrastructure, tools, modeling, external interfaces, and other technical areas.
• Completes complex development, design, implementation, architecture design specification, and maintenance activities.
• Approves technical solutions proposed by team members. Elevates complex technical issues to IT experts, including architects.
• Recommends development options, including design, build and test. Approves the team's technical deliverables. Conducts testing, including functionality, technical limitations, and security.
• Re-engineer and migrate on-premises solutions and applications to a cloud environment
• Demonstrate hands on system engineering experience on cloud platforms, ideally using AWS

• Must to have:
o Programming Languages: Java, Node.JS, TypeScript
o AWS Services: API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, EKS, S3, Route53, WAF, CloudFront, IAM
o Databases: Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB
o Experience with developing and implementing REST APIs for the Microservices Architecture
o Good Communication Skills and able to work with the Business teams
o Independent and Collaborative
• Good to Have –
o AWS Services: Event Bridge, VPC, EC2, Security Groups, Auto Scaling, SNS, SQS, DMS
o Other Technologies: Kafka
o DevOps: Terraform, Jenkins

• Experience w/ Agile Methodologies

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (i.e.: Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content)
