Job Responsibilities

•          Conduct end-to-end testing on applications and technology, to ensure that business, technical, functional requirements are being met throughout the SDLC.

•          Design and execute test scripts based upon test strategy/plans to identify defects prior to production. Tests may be manual or automated or both.

•          Construct test scenarios, cases and scripts, ensuring that requirement coverage is adequate and business requirements, functional specifications and designs are linked to test artifacts.

•          Develop and maintain quality automation code and work towards automating non-test related QA functions.

•          Build reusable test frameworks; refactor and extend test automation frameworks and suites, as needed.

•          Maintain automated regression suites/packages to be compliant with changing requirements and features

•          Working experience of Data and functionality testing of application hosted on AWS Cloud.

•          Work with project and business contacts to ensure QA criteria meets functional and technical specifications and designs. Will provide QA impact assessments on functional and technical project requirements.

•          Evaluate and create test data against expected positive and negative scenarios, identifying deficiencies.

•          Create defect for identified issues and participate in the defects triage meeting. Tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.

•          Troubleshoot system failures and narrow down root causes independently or with the help of developers or operation engineers.

•          Participate in requirement and design review meetings to stay informed of potential impact to testing cases.

•          Provide testing estimates to the senior team members for review and submission and provides input to the Delivery Schedule.

•          Escalate issues to Project Manager and Quality Assurance Manager as needed in a clear, concise and timely manner. Consistently identify solutions to issues.

•          Participate in the development and implementation of structured testing concepts, methodologies, and automated testing and support tools.

•          Create and adhere to processes, standards and practices to develop, test and implement quality assurance operational procedures for use by applicable requirements, development, test, and quality assurance teams.

•          Contribute ideas and effort toward continuous improvement and Quality enablement

•          Communicate overall status of testing activities to Leadership and project team members.

 

Required Qualification

•         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.

•         Proven experience in software testing and quality assurance with a distinguished track record in testing complex software systems.

•         Minimum 4+ years of combined experience in ETL using informatica, Database and Reports Testing, with extensive working experience in writing and executing complex SQL queries.

•         Proficient in all types of testing (Sanity, functional, regression, integration, load, stress and performance) in Data warehouse environments.

•         Strong knowledge and understanding of relational database concepts, data warehousing, ETL process, requirements gathering and/or decision support tools

•         Proven experience with multiple database platforms, including Oracle and SQL and writing complex SQLs

•         Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team of Business Owners, Developers, Business Analysts and Quality Assurance professionals

•         Knowledge of quality management tools such as QC/ALM

•         Knowledge of the QA process/SDLC in a Waterfall, Continuous Delivery and Agile environments

•         Strong organizational skills: ability to complete multiple tasks under tight and competing schedules and priderites.

•         Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data.

•         Excellent written and verbal communication skills (ability to communicate effectively with technical staff, Business Analysts, management, and business team members)

•         Work independently (full SDLC) with minimal supervision in a team environment.

Preferred Qualification

•         Experience working in an Agile or Continuous Delivery environment.

•         Knowledge of scheduling tools preferably TWS.

•          knowledge of Automation Frameworks such as Junit, TestNG, and Selenium

•         Knowledge or experience with Informatica DVO data compare tool.

•         Experience creating automation framework /Selenium/Python etc.

•         Good to have experience of IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Service), IDQ (Informatica Data Quality)
