UFG is a Property and Casualty Insurance company of about 1,500 employees. Their HQ is in Cedar Rapids, IA but they also have offices in California, Colorado, Texas and New Jersey. This is a 100% remote position.

Top Skills:

1) Extensive experience performing API testing with tools such as Ready API, SoapUI and Postman
2) Extensive automation experience utilizing Selenium with writing automation scripts with JavaScript
3) Experience testing in an agile environment using Jira for bug and defect tracking

Additional Skills:

1) If someone has experience with Smart Bear testing tools it would be a home run, especially if they have worked with Test Complete
2) Experience being involved in a transition from waterfall to agile would be helpful

Project Summary:

UFG recently underwent an agile transformation and due to realignment of development teams they are short on QA resources. They are wanting to bring on three 6+ month contract resources to help relieve some of the workload on their current testers. These testers will be performing web and API automated testing on the web portals that UFG insurance agents utilize.
