The SQL Developer is responsible for the project management of client facing and internal projects related to SSRS report writing, SQL Stored Procedures and other programmatic objects in the database and using general SQL syntax in other solutions. This position will work with clients and internal staff to map and scope solutions that will fit the client needs.
This role is responsible for the management of the project including:
- Consistent communication with clients (external and internal) on progress
- Maintaining project scheduling and meeting milestone deadlines
- Maintaining and meeting Project budgets, including obtaining change orders for out of scope services
Experience
- Manage Clients expectations through regular communication
- Creating Stored Procedures, Functions and other programmatic objects in a database to facilitate reports or workflows.
- Engaging with our hosting team solution architects on efforts surrounding hosted database initiatives.
- Participating in the development of repeatable solutions that can be productized.
- Manipulating data from disparate systems for population into the Deltek Vision system as part of a client’s data migration process or interconnectivity efforts.
- Writing SSRS reports using Microsoft Business Intelligence Development Studio
- Delivering reporting that brings a new level of visibility into to organizational key performance indicators with respect to each client.
- Learning the architecture and environment surrounding the Deltek Vision application as you go.
Relevant areas of experience:
- Relational databases
- Writing, analyzing and troubleshootingTransact SQL
- Microsoft Visual Studio Business Intelligence Development
- Familiarity with REST and SOAP web services
Desired but not required:
- Previous experience with ERP and CRM systems
- Understanding of BI tools and data analysis of business financials
- Postgres SQL
- Experience using Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint ERP
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server
