Client is looking for software engineers to join a team focused on building the next generation digital marketing platform using managed services in the AWS environment. Come work alongside some of the best engineers in the business, architecting a highly scalable, multi-tenant, SaaS platform than can send billions of marketing messages per week.

This position is responsible for the development of their platform, a suite of world-class applications that are used by thousands of customers worldwide. Our Clients platform is widely regarded as one of the top marketing platforms in the world. This role is responsible for working with a team tasked with building highly scalable systems which manage our customers’ data consisting of hundreds of millions of contacts and associated attributes. You will research new technologies and architect new solutions that can be leveraged to improve performance and scalability within a cloud environment.

What You'll Do

Managers comment “We are really looking for in AWS Developer and specifically AWS based datastores.  This would ideally be someone who comes in and serves as a SME as we try to develop plans to migrate to other platforms within AWS from Oracle.”They will lead the design and implementation of AWS RDS, Aurora and/or Redshift architectures

Research new managed services and identify how best to integrate them into the platform

Build new micro services based on collaboration with system architects

Identify performance bottlenecks in data ingestion workflows

Implement new features based on provided technical and user experience design

Designing and writing automated tests

The Essentials

5+ years experience designing architectures using both relational and non-relational databases

5+ years experience using JavaEE

3+ years experience developing applications in the AWS environment

Strong experience with AWS RDS, Redshift, and Aurora

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment that requires independent self-direction, strong attention to detail and an aptitude for team collaboration and open communication

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice to Have

Experience navigating from Oracle to AWS is a meaningful advantage

Strong collaborative demeanor and a commitment to take ownership and drive projects to completion
