Job Title: React Native Developer           
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 month contract with potential to extend

 

Client is a leading media and entertainment company that creates and distributes premium and popular content from a diverse array of talented storytellers and journalists to global audiences through its consumer brands including: HBO, HBO Max, Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, truTV, CNN, DC Entertainment, New Line, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Turner Classic Movies and others. The Job The Developer will be part of a team building a new React Native app experience on Apple TV, Fire TV and Roku platforms.

She/he will need to be forward thinking, able to investigate and solve problems with limited supervision, and able to communicate clearly and often with the team and leadership.

The Daily tasks:

• Code, code, code!

• Participate in workflow and architectural design sessions

• Consume and understand requirements and be able to quickly provide estimates

• Collaborate with team in chat or video sessions as needed • Develop smart, straight-forward solutions to meet requirements

• Ask the question “Is there a simpler way to do this?”

• Hit daily and weekly development goals

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and show ownership of work throughout -the sprint process

• Collaborate with other WarnerMedia teams

• Learn and be able to speak to the differences between the platforms

The Essentials:

• 5 years of experience as a developer

• React Native, React, JavaScript, ES6+, Node.js

• Native development experience on one or more of the following: Apple TV, Fire TV,

Roku, iOS or Android (Any sort of video streaming will qualify)

• C++ or BrightScript experience is a plus!

• Git merging, branching, and pull requests

• Demonstrated triage and debugging skills

• Personal commitment to hitting deadlines

• Thrives in a high pressure, high profile project environment

• Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, work and make decisions independently

• Personal accountability and great communication skills

• Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively
